Frequently Asked Questions
Inquiries & Consultations
-
You can request a quote through the form on our site, or by email or text. Simply include the specifications you want, such as preferred metal, ring size if known, whether you want a laboratory-grown or natural diamond, and a reference image if you have one.
A complete request allows us to send an accurate quote. If important details are missing, we will ask for them before quoting. You will receive a detailed quote within 24 hours. Quotes are valid for 14 days.

You can book a consultation through the form on our site, or by email or text.
Let us know whether you would prefer to meet in person, by video, or by phone, and a time that works for you.
Consultations last 30 minutes. In-person meetings are held at our workshop in downtown Toronto.
If you have more details or reference images, you are welcome to send them in advance before we meet. -
The consultation is a 30-minute working conversation. We will review your ideas, preferred metal and stone, budget, and timeline, and answer any questions about the process.
If you have a design in mind, we can price it during the meeting, including variations in stone, carat, and metal, so you have a clear figure to consider.
In-person meetings are held at our workshop. Video and phone consultations follow the same structure. You do not need every detail decided in advance. We will leave the meeting with an agreed next step, whether that is a written quote or beginning the design work.
-
Yes. We also make wedding bands, pendants, and earrings, to the same standard as our engagement rings.
Matching bands can be made for any ring we produce, including later, so the set remains consistent. Engagement rings are the focus of the workshop. Other pieces are made by request.
-
Yes. We specialise in engagement rings and complementary jewellery, and we stay within that work.
We do not reproduce trademarked or branded designs. We do not make sculptural or highly realistic 3D forms such as faces, animals, or objects. We also do not offer hand engraving or laser engraving.
If a design falls outside what we can make to a high standard, we will tell you at the quote stage rather than take the project on.
-
We do not offer laser engraving or hand engraving after the ring is finished.
We can include a simple inscription in the design itself — typically a name, date, or short line of text — so it is part of the piece rather than added on the surface later.
Script and decorative lettering are not available.
Our Process
-
Every ring is designed and made in our Toronto workshop. From the initial CAD through goldsmithing and finishing, every step is done in-house by us, not sent out to a factory or another jeweller.
Consultations, quotes, and appraisals are handled here as well, so you are dealing with the same people connected to the making of the ring.
-
The $150 design fee covers six renderings of your ring and two videos from different angles, with three rounds of revision. Each revision includes an updated set of images and video.
The fee is required before design work begins. If you proceed with the ring, the $150 is credited in full toward your order. If you do not proceed, the fee is not refundable.
Further revisions after the three included rounds are $50 each.
-
A revision is an adjustment to the approved direction — for example band width, prong style, setting height, adding diamonds to the band, or a small change to the profile. It is not a new design.
If the request is a completely different ring, that is a new design and requires a new design fee.
-
The prototype is an exact replica of your approved design, made in silver, plated to your chosen metal colour, and set with cubic zirconia.
It lets you see the size, proportions, and detail in person before the genuine ring is made. The prototype is produced after the design is approved and a deposit has been received.
It is included in the order and yours to keep. -
If the prototype needs adjustment, small changes can be made on the genuine ring. If you would like to review those changes in silver before production, a second prototype is $350.
The second prototype is also yours to keep.
-
Production begins after the design is approved and the deposit has been received. The silver prototype is made first. Once the prototype is approved, we begin the genuine ring.
-
The CAD and silver prototype are how the design is finalised. Once production of the genuine ring has started, further design changes are not possible. Ring size can still be adjusted.
-
Once the ring is ready, you can collect it from our Toronto workshop or have it shipped tracked and insured.
If you collect in person, the balance can be paid at pickup. If the ring is being shipped, the balance is due before it is sent.
-
Yes. Design files are held by the workshop and are not shared with third parties or used as stock designs. Your commission remains a private piece.
Materials
-
Yes. We offer both laboratory-grown and natural diamonds, in a range of shapes and sizes. Suitable options are presented with your quote or during the consultation.
-
Yes. Every centre diamond is IGI or GIA certified, and the report is included with your ring.
-
We work in 14K yellow, white, and rose gold, 18K yellow and white gold, and platinum only.
Two-tone designs can combine these metals in different parts of the same ring. -
Side stones are chosen to match the centre diamond in type and quality. Laboratory-grown centres are paired with laboratory-grown side stones, and natural with natural, typically in the colourless range.
The ring is set with one consistent kind of diamond throughout, unless you specify otherwise.
-
Yes. If you already have a diamond, newly purchased or a family stone, we can make the ring and set it. You are not required to buy the diamond from us.
We will assess the stone before work begins to confirm it is suitable for the design.
Timelines & Payments
-
Production generally takes two to four weeks, depending on the design and current volume. It can be shorter or longer in some cases. We only accept work we can complete on a confirmed timeline, and we provide progress updates throughout.
-
A detailed quote is sent within 24 hours. Design work usually takes a few days, depending on revisions. The silver prototype typically takes one to two weeks, and the genuine ring a further two to four weeks.
From first inquiry to delivery, most commissions take four to eight weeks. Additional revisions or a second prototype will extend the timeline, so please allow enough time before you need the ring.
-
A $150 design fee is required to begin design. After the design is approved, a 50% deposit is required to begin the prototype and the genuine ring. The remaining balance is due before the ring is released.
We accept debit, credit, cash, and e-transfer. Applicable taxes apply to all prices.
-
We do not offer rush production. Each ring is taken only if it can be completed properly within our usual timeline.
If you have a specific date, tell us when you request a quote and we will confirm whether it is possible.
Aftercare
-
The lifetime craftsmanship guarantee covers manufacturing defects in the making of the ring. If a fault in workmanship appears, we will repair or replace the work free of charge.
It does not cover loss, accidental damage, or normal wear. Those repairs are available as a paid service.
-
For three years after your ring is completed, aftercare includes one complimentary resize and one complimentary polish and refinish, so the fit and finish can be restored.
These services are each included once within that period. Further work, or any work after three years, is quoted separately.
The lifetime craftsmanship guarantee continues to cover manufacturing defects.
-
If the ring does not fit after completion, the first resize is included in the three-year aftercare.
Please confirm size as carefully as possible before production. Further resizes after the complimentary one are quoted separately.
-
Yes. If a ring is damaged, worn, or lost, we can repair it or remake it from the original design. This is a paid service, quoted at the time.
The lifetime guarantee applies only to manufacturing defects, which are repaired or replaced at no charge.
-
Your ring is delivered with a premium box, the diamond certification, an appraisal, a guarantee card, and a note with the specifications and the names of the makers.
-
Yes. The centre diamond can be upgraded later, subject to the setting. This is a paid service and quoted at the time.
-
No. Each ring is made to order. The CAD and prototype are how the design is confirmed before production, so returns and exchanges are not offered after completion.
